Gran Canaria is a beautiful place to hike. Relatively safe trails, high elevation and stunning scenery. This is the trail from Cruz de Tejeda to Artenara.

Natural caves is in part what Gran Canaria is all about.

In this particular cave system, the aboriginal guanches of Gran Canaria used to store their grain. Cenobi de Valeron, on the north part of the island, was also a fortress where extra storage of food was safe guarded in times of war. Above this site their was a ritual offering place, used by the Gunache priests.

Eagle show in Palmitos Park, one of Gran Canaria's beautiful parks, which focuses on birds and plants. Spend the day in an exciting setting which will remind you of the Arizona mountains.

... and the best one is right in the capital. Las Canteras beach is the famous promenade in the new part of the city of Las Palmas. Four kilometers of stunning scenery and great surf waves, with quiet but cozy bars and restaurants in a friendly atmosphere.
